SF2018 FAQ

1. Register: Register for the event by visiting the registration page. Use Standard Registration to register alumni and family members. Use Shared Room package if you want to enjoy all events during the convention and share accommodation. Additional details are on the registration pages.
2. Pre-registration savings: All alumni who pre-registered, please have the coupon code handy, before you register. After making the choices on the registration page, enter the coupon code at the bottom, before SUBMIT button.
3. Payment: Once you submit the registration, PayPal page shows up. Make your payment using Credit card, Debit card or PayPal account. Check the total amount and complete the transaction. All payments are secure.
4. Payment Review: If you want to re-check your selection, you could use back button on browser to go back to the previous page, your selection remains intact.
5. Book your hotel room: If you have chosen Shared Room Package, the convention team will book the room for you. If you are using Standard registration, book your room at the negotiated group rate at the Hyatt hotel portal.
6. Make your flight or transportation arrangements. Check out the airline discounts arranged for the convention.

Full refund of all cost if registration is cancelled within 3 days. After 3 days, $200 cancellation fees, after any discounts, is applied for alumni registration only. Full refund of family adult and children registration until Aug 20, 2018. No refund on SF Bay brunch cruise. No refund after Aug 20, 2018.

In order to avoid loss of value, consider transferring the registration ticket to another alumni, instead of cancellation.

Send a cancellation request with your reasons for cancellation to the SF Convention Team, and someone will work with you to refund the money appropriately.

If you are one of the first 100 who pre-registered, you will get a discount of $50 on registration. If you made a hotel deposit, you will get $20 discount. The coupon code includes your deposits, and all additional discounts. You should expect a coupon code by e-mail, with the following value:

• $170 – First 100 pre-registered, and made hotel deposit.
• $100 – First 100 pre-registered, and no hotel deposit.
• $120 – Second 100 pre-registered, and made hotel deposit.
• $70 – Second 100 pre-register only, or hotel deposit only.

Register before May 1st, 2018 to redeem registration coupon. On May 1st, you loose the discounts and rewards. However, your early deposits still stay.

Standard registration includes Breakfast (Saturday), Lunch (Saturday), Dinner (Friday, Saturday), Drinks (Friday, Saturday), Event tickets (Friday, Saturday), gifts and much more.

Shared room package includes Standard registration for 1 alumni, which includes Breakfast (Saturday), Lunch (Saturday), Dinner (Friday, Saturday), Drinks (Friday, Saturday), Event tickets (Friday, Saturday), gifts and much more.

Additionally, it includes 2 room nights stay(shared with a buddy), SF bay cruise, complimentary NITROAA Annual membership. The room-mate MUST register with Shared-Room Package also. Click here for additional details.

You share room with other alumni, who has registered using Shared Room package. Talk to your buddy you want to enjoy the convention with, and enter the name in the Suggestion box. You can find a buddy from Who’s Coming list. Convention team can also help you find a buddy; contact any of the volunteers through website, WhatsApp, Email or Phone. 

Choose Standard Registration, select the number of family members to register. Choose SF cruise for all attendees 13 and older (highly recommended). Then book Double/Double room at at low negotiated price at Hyatt hotel. The family has the option to buy specific meal coupons at the hotel or eat outside the hotel, in lieu of the registration.

Yes, the family members can attend the convention events without registration. If they do not register, they will not get the meals at the hotel. They can either step outside for meals, or buy coupons at the convention desk for the meals they need.

Yes, you can register now, and add the family members using the Upgrade Registration form. You can also add cruise and other upgrades using the form.

For Shared Room  packages, NITROAA membership is complimentary, paid for by the sponsorships. There is no extra charge applied to package price, because of NITROAA membership. There is NO price adjustment, if you are already a NITROAA membership.

There is a discounted cost of $45 for adult and $25 for children, for first 250 alumni and family  to enjoy the SF Bay brunch cruise. The sponsorships made it possible to bring down the cost per attendee from $125 to $45. However, it was not possible to make it free, without raising the registration cost.

There are a variety of rooms starting at $195+tax. You can get the details and book your room at the low negotiated price at Hyatt hotel portal.

IMPORTANT: Only enter the number of adults (18+) as Guests, when you start the reservation. On the guest information page, add the number of children.

Maximum occupancy including Adults and Children for DOUBLE/DOUBLE is 4. Maximum occupancy for all other room type is 3.  

When number of adults in a room are more than 2, the room rates go higher. Only enter the number of adults (18+) as Guests, when you start the reservation.

Do not include the children as Guests, when you start reservation. Once all selections are made, add the number of children in the Guest Information page. Children are counted towards the maximum occupancy limit. However, children occupancy does not increase the room price.

The cost for 2 adults and 2 children in a DOUBLE/DOUBLE room is $195/$195/$179 plus tax for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Start the reservation with 2 Guests (for adults), and choose DOUBLE/DOUBLE room. On the guest information page, add the number of children. 

The hotel booking portal does not support coupons. The registration coupon code includes hotel deposit and discount, which is redeemed at registration time.
