Note: Small section of the restaurant (25 people capacity) will be reserved for us. If more arrive at a time, then the overflow guests will be seated in the main section. Guests can order from the menu. Guests need to pay for their dinner. Gratuity is set to 25%. Three alumni have agreed to sponsor drinks. Restaurant closes at 10:30 pm on Fridays. Upon our request, the restaurant will remain open till 11 pm.
Starting 7:00 AM – Registration and Photo Session (instant 4″x6″ photos print will be available) by professional photographer. Desk with credit card reader will be available to upgrade Annual to Life Membership or Student to Life Membership as well as to donate to NITROAA.

9:25 to 9:40 AM – Welcome ceremony: Address by NITROAA President Dr. Birendra Jena

 

9:40 to 9:55 AM – Video address by NIT, Rourkela Director Dr. Animesh Biswas
9:55 to 10:00 AM – Vote of thanks by Mr. Prem Gandhi, NITROAA Vice President

 

10:00 to 11 AM –  Alumni introductions – limit to 30 seconds
11:00 to noon – Key Note Speech by Dr. Ed Amoroso (45 minutes speech and 15 minutes Q&A)

 

Noon to 1:00 PM – Lunch at Hotel’s Jester Restaurant

 

1:00 to 2:30 PM – Brainstorming break-out sessions. Topics will be provided to each group. Moderator: Pradeep Mohapatra.
2:00 to 3:00 PM – The Why and How of Giving to Our Alma Mater – Gary Krishnan (20 minutes presentation and 10 minutes Q&A).
3:00 to 3:15 PM – Coffee Break

 

3:15 to 4 PM – Innovation Hyper-drive Panel Discussion. Participants: Dr. Robert Soni, Ishpreet Singh, Dr. Prabhakar Singh, Dr. Ashutosh Dutta, Dr. Sukant Mohapatra, Dr. Pat Krishna and Arun Sharma. Moderator: Pradeep Mohapatra.

4:00 to 5:00 PM – Group photo opportunity

5:00 to 6:00 PM – General Body Meeting

6:30 to 7:00 PM – NITR Got Talent – Children’s Group Performances led by Deepa Tripathy
 7:00 to 7:30 PM – NITR Got Talent – Children’s Solo Performances up to 5 minutes each

 

7:30 PM to Mid-night – Dinner, Cash Bar, and DJ  – Lalatendu Mohanty and Joydeep Tripathy to lead. Dinner at Hotel’s Jester Restaurant.

 

Event will be live streamed on YouTube and on Facebook. Updates will be posted to Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp with photos and videos throughout the day.

 

Dress Code: Business Casual
 9 AM – Bus trip to Liberty State Park Pavilion B. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Folks can stroll around. Photos will be taken by a professional photographer.  Those interested can take a tour boat to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (individual responsibility). Those interested can take children to Liberty Science Center (individual responsibility).
2 PM – Return to hotel  via Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

 

Professional Photographer will take photos at Liberty Park. If facility permits (electricity and space), photos will be printed.
